Quick takes and pithy remarks:

| In 2002, a few of geologists ( Melchor, Valais & Genise) found some track ways in a late Triassic riverbed deposit in Argentina. They site nine criteria by which one can distinguish bird tracks from theropod tracks. In each case these tracks fall out as birds. Yet they conclude that the tracks must have been made by an unknown theropod - cladograms do not allow for any birds being around in the Triassic. - Steve Hunter, ncsce | ||||||||||||
